i hope u make the right decision an have fun

but don't go if u think ur not ready!:]

how long would the flight b??

  2. dont worry they either put kids in different roms that adults that have a tight security and also you have less chance crashing in an airplane than a car

  3. I just let my kids who are 9, and 7 fly alone and they were fine. If there are other kids on your flight flying alone, they will sit with you, also the sturtess will be there to escort you on and off of air planes and make sure that you are alright. It is their job. If you have a layover, they will even take you from one plane to the other, and make sure you get on ok before handing you off to another sturtess. You will be fine. Also, your parents get to walk you to the gate even though they arn't flying because you are a minor, and whoever is going to get you gets to walk to the gate as well so that when you get off the plane there is someone there who you know.

  4. hey the first time i flew alone i was 7 with only my five year old little brother. You probobly will not sit with another kid (but might) and although the flight attendant will not be holding your hand the whole time you can call her throughout the flight if you need too. Also all the kids enter and leave the plane together under the supervision of a lfight attendent so you don't have to worry about getting lost in the airport or etting on the wrong plane or something. It really isn't that scary, at 13 im sure you can handle it, unless you're scared of flying in general. Can't help you witht he parent missing stuff though. How long are you going away for and will you be staying with family or firends?? I think you should be alright.. I mean in 5 years you'll be moving out of your house for good so one trip without your parents-- you can def. handle

  5. Your parents can have someone arranged to check up on you during your flight/escort you to your gate and whatever. I don't know a whole lot about it, but I know that kids younger than 13 travel alone all the time.

  6. At 13, you're on your own on any airline that I know of. You will have to make your own way.

For younger kids, the airlines charge extra money. For that they walk you on the plane, and off the plane. They take you from gate to gate if you have to change planes. And at the end they walk you to where you meet your parents. That's it. You're on your own other than that. Don't expect to be catered to or entertained or anything like that. You will not receive counseling from the airline for your separation anxiety issues. You will sit next to the person who purchased the ticket for the seat next to you, whomever that may be. You will have to entertain yourself (quietly!) for the whole flight, and in between flights. Don't expect your fellow passengers to entertain you either. They are usually business people who normally just want to be left alone to de-stress after a long day of difficult work, and they do not want to be bothered.

  7. ya i used to fly by myself. there will be someone there with you (there are airport employees that specifically help flying kids). i never sat with another kid...

but once you get started you wont be scared anymore

  8. it's not that bad...since you're a minor they will be really nice to you and help you out... they will most likely seat you near other kids/minors flying alone....they will also always be around if you need help....the first time I flew alone I was 11 or 12.  don't worry it's not that bad =)

  9. I travel alot.

but only because my dad works for AA.

    it is really fun actually.

you really have no reason to be scared!

people really take care of you!

every second there is someone that tells you where to go, and what to do.

you get off the plane first and stuff too!

seriously! enjoy the freedom while it lasts!

    =)

    have fun.

  10. I have been on a plane and sat  with a 10 year old kid traveling alone.  What I noticed is that  the kid was wearing a  bracelet with a name on it and the  air hostesses were giving him extra attention durin the  flight (checking on him once in a while, asking if he is alright/comfortable) and giving  him instructions as  what to do.  Don't worry too much about your trip. Im sure all airlines policy are the same with regards to taking care of  children traveling alone. You'll be allright. Enjoy your trip.
