Kids having kids?

Question

I am only asking this because I am very curious to know the answer. I see a lot of questions on here from 13 and 14 year old girls who want a baby soooo bad. I never see them say WHY they want a baby, so maybe some of you can enlighten me on this.. Why do you want one so badly? I'm wondering if it is because they are cute, or it would be someone to love you? I'm just looking for the reason. Thanks! By the way I'm married, 27, and hav a 2 year old.

I wonder the same thing.

And I don't think it's hormonal either... When I was that age I in no way, shape or form wanted a baby.  I didn't even THINK about it.

It's a hormonal thing. It's perfectly natural for young teens to want to have a baby (even though they shouldn't).

People didn't live as long centuries ago, so hormones would prompt teens to have babies to sustain the human race. Now that we live 3 times as long, we don't need to have babies so early.

I think they want to have a baby because they have no idea what that really means.

Give a 14 year old a colicky baby who is allergic to the milk the mother is giving him, therefore has diarrhea, vomiting, and cries for 10 hours straight.  That'll teach them.

Well, it did me anyway.  I'm married now, and my husband and I are starting to think about having a baby.  Btw, I'm 19 years old with a lot more patience and maturity than I had at 14 :P.

I've wanted a baby since i was a baby now. though i never got pregnant that young i baby sited anyone baby i could get my hands on. o think it was because i needed/ wanted someone to depend on me to need me to be there everyday and cheer me up. now don't get me wrong i had a wonderful mom but it always seemed as though i was missing something else. something that no one else could fill and when i did finally have my daugther at 18 she filled that space and much more. so for me even though i was not 13 having a baby at 13 i wanted one and i think if i was not so afraid of s*x i would have had one

well, those are really idiot girls who doesn't have any directions in their life. im jamie, 14 years old. Umm.. if you'll ask me if i wanted a  baby in my age, ofcourse no.. It would be a lot of responsibilities. and we still have to finish our studies. And those girls should wait for the right time to have a baby, they don't need to rush their self out. hahaha! sorry, ^^, it is really really stupid for me!

It isn't hormonal.  I had hormones at that age.  I started my period when I was 10.  s*x and babies were the furthest thing from my mind way back then.  I've had my period longer than you have been on the earth.  My friends didn't think about having babies either.  The difference between then and now is that most of us had mothers that were home with us and we felt more loved.  Loving also comes with boundaries that were set at home and at school.  Nowadays many women are playing "career mom" thinking they can do both and there aren't many rules in school.  Children feel unloved.  Teens feel that anyway, but there is nothing showing them today that they are.  Getting to go shopping because their mother is lucky enough to have a good job isn't the love they need.  They need someone there for them.  Sure, they think babies are cute and fun and have no idea of the responsibilities, but they are under the wrong impression that a baby will love them.  Unfortunately, they will never know how to care for their own children because they weren't taught themselves.

im 13 and also want a baby. I'm not sure why though. One of the main reasons i would think is that teenagers are always in "love" and when someone brakes there heart their crushed. In my opion a baby will always love me and i will always love it.
