Kids need to dress as FAMOUS AMERICANS for school tomorrow?

Need some suggestions on what to dress a 11 year old girl and 6 year old boy with around the house ideas to resemble a "famous American". Their school is having Patriotic Week, but this day's attire didn't specify anything to do with history, etc. just that they are famous and American.

It's a conservative school, by the way....

How about Betsy Ross, Elenore Roosevelt,Harriet Tubman, for your six year old, Harry Truman,JFK,MLK Jr., Edison,Franklin, and really patriotic  MacArthur, or Chester Nimitz.

It's hard to dress kid's without warning!!

Have the boy dress as Abe Lincoln, or maybe Audie Murphey, Gen. Douglass MacArthur, or another war hero.
