Okay. For example, two boys born of royal birth (or seperate births for 2 different years) grew up and the eldest that became king died (married), does the second child take the throne (if still unmarried)? Or does the wife of the oldest child become queen? I get confused sometimes!

  1. The younger brother would become king, the wife is no blood relation to the royal family. This would be the case if prince William were to pass, Harry would be king.

  2. If the elder son, the king, died, his oldest son or oldest child of either s*x (depending on the law of that country) would become king or queen.  If that son or daughter is a minor, the late king's widow might become regent for the time being, but she would not be queen in her own right.  If the couple had no children, the younger brother would become king.  The only way a king's widow would succeed him (legally, that is) would be for her also to be his next of kin.

  3. The next in line to the throne would be any progeny of the late King.If he had no children, his brother,if an adult, would rule. The dowager Queen is not in line of succession;she could be tapped to act as regent for an under-aged son until he reaches the age of majority and can take the reign.
