  1. depends what sort of door it is. Does it have indented panels, or is it just one solid flat door?

Either way, find the smoothest surface of the door, and use some sort of sticky tape (masking tape is best) and do two strips with a gap inbetween - this gap inbetween them you paint it, and then you can pull off the tape and it'd be a perfect straight line (this would be the height chart part)... then use a metre stick, or tape measure, and mark gently in pencil first, then just use a marker pen to put the measurements on it.... and decorate around it however you son likes...

    ?

  2. Not sure about painting one but you can buy them. Here are a couple websites and maybe they will at least give you an idea how to paint one if you don't want to buy one.

  3. maybe pink if its a girle and if  its a boy than blue

  4. hmm.

get a meter stick and use it to put numbers in the right places up the side, then draw a line and decorate with soem animals orsomething....then start putting in heights i guess....

  5. get a yard stick (about $3 at the harware store) and paint it every foot, with a straight line next to it, (used by the yardstick) to write his age and the date there. once you get to the leanth of the yardstick, start over. use pencil to mark it off, then paint with a small oil or canvas paint brush, so you can control it better. i would put it right inside the door way also. otherwise it will be covered amillion times by things gettting moved around. unless you don't want it seen.
