  1. My first child was 3years and one month when my second was born.  Throughout the pregnancy we had talked about the baby in my tummy and how one day it would come out of me.  He also saw pictures and watched the video of his own birth.  So when I actually did give birth he was their to see the whole thing (and was so excited when his sister came out of mommys peepee).   Of course my husband was their, as well as my mom, younger sister, best friend, and my husbands best friend (although he [Uncle Chris] waited outside the room).  Any way about a month after my daughter was born we were all getting togher with friends at our local Applebees.  Uncle Chris was the last to show up, and my son must have forgot that Chris was their when my daughter was born.  So as Chris approached my table, my son stood up on his chair in the middle of the crowded restaurant, with his arms spread and yelled "hay Uncle Chris, look, my sisser nanna (sister Avianna) came out of my mommys peepee!"

Although I was embarassed what could I do?  He was proud of his sister......and although not everyone agrees; I see nothing wrong with telling my son how babys are born.  (of course we are waiting for him to be a little older to expain further just how God got the baby in Mommys tummy in the first place)

Oh and did I mention that he helped his dad cut the cord?

  2. My niece (7 at the time) said this to her grandfather "Come on Grandpa, you can walk faster than that"

    I started cracking up.

  3. Where do babies come from!  I almost died!

  4. I was being driven home from babysitting when the Mom asked me if what she payed me was enough, and the 6 yr old pipes up and says, "Because Mom's running out of money!"

I was babysitting for that same 6 yr old when his parents went to a funeral and he asked me when I was coming next. I said i didn't know, and he was like

"I'll have to get my parent's to go on a date or something."

I said, "Well hopefully I won't have to come over for the same reason I did today"

"You might have to pretty soon, my grandma's in the hospital and her earts sick."

He's a very serious little boy. *SIGH*

  5. my 1 year old said Oh ****...thanks grandma :D

  6. I don't have any children but I'm a teacher. I taught in an inner-city school two years ago. In the mornings I greet each student at the door to start their day off in a positive manner. One day, a little girl came in visibly upset so I asked her what was wrong. So she angrily told me that she had had a "h**l of a morning and that she needed some personal space to cool down". I had to turn away so I wouldn't laugh. She wasn't in trouble. I gave her her personal space. She was one of my favorite kids. I think it was because she said whatever was on her mind :)
