Kids wth divorsed parents please answer.?

My dad has a new girlfriend and she didnt go to collage. She doesn't no what hola means. She has a daughter shes so cute and nice also my dad's girlfriend has a tatoo and she is 8 years younger than my dad! Any advice?

So what if she didn't go to college and doesn't know Spanish? There are plenty of itdots with Masters/Doctorates teaching in our schools.

She has a tattoo, alot of people do.  (Personally, I am very anti Ink touching my skin, but I'm not insecure enough to judge everyone different as me; my sis in law has a huge dragon on her back, but she's very intelligent and one of the most caring people you'll ever meet).  

You really didn't lay out any problems this g/f has so what is making you uncomfy with this?

Are you still living at home?  Is the divorce not final or is your dad a widower?

What are you really looking for here?

Your dad needs his own life and you need yours.  He needs to be happy and if she makes him happy and isn't hurting anything just be nice to her.

Who knows you may like her or you may not.  If your dad likes her that is all that matters.

8 years isn't alot unless your dad is in his 20s.  Let him have some fun.  You can be honest with him about your opinions, but if you're pointing out issues with someone like "they didn't go to college etc" maybe you have some personal insecurities you need to deal with.

I'm not saying that to be rude, but alot of people define themselves and others by what they do (oh, he's a doctor..wow he's great, but his brother is a janitor..what a loser etc) , what their education level is, income, etc.

If you have a REAL problem with her then tell your dad or friend and see how to deal with it.

There are very smart people in this world who never went to college, and there are many people who aren't bright but are very kind & decent.

Did you know that Angelina Jolie has tattoos? She's a pretty successful person, don't you think? I personally am not a fan of them, but there are many good people in the world who have them, so don't let that bother you.

My dad is 13 years older than his fiancee!!!! It's different when adults aren't the same age than it is with kids. He's 45 & she's 32, and it's okay with me because she is a really great person, and I'm happy to have her in our lives. She's never once tried to be my mom or been like an "evil stepmother" in any way. I honestly think she's awesome, though it did take me a while to get used to her being in my life. Don't be afraid to talk with your dad about this. He should be able to understand your concerns.

Keep an open mind about her. You might discover that she's a great person.

Start be teaching her "hola."

Im dealing with this right now! my dad has a girlfriend ( that he cheated on while married to my mom) I dont approve of her because he has a new life with her kids.

I just ignore them and go on with my own life. I used to go to his house but i put a stop to it and said no and that i dont feel confortable.Just tell him you dont feel right about it. Let it all out :) Good Luck!!

What do you need advice on?? So she didn't go to college? That's not where you learn what "hola" means. Lots of people don't go to college. You like her daughter...so what's the problem? 8 years younger really isn't that bad once you're an adult.
