Kielduff Cool in for debut victory in the Bord Na Mona A2 525 – Round 1 – Heat 1
One of the most anticipated entries for the Grade A2 Bord Na Mona A2 525 – Round 1 – Heat 1 is the two-year-old, Kielduff Cool. The 525 yard race will be hosted by Harold’s Cross on Friday, 10th August. Contesting for bagging the €50 prize money are Black Bolero, Fast Transfer, Gogetemelsie, Kilbride Pearl and Go On Diesel.
Cabra Cool’s two-year-old black and white son has raced thrice ever since his career began. He has also gone through an equal number of training sessions. All his three outings were at Harold’s Cross over 525 yards.
The career of the Syndicate trained began with two drilling sessions for tuning up his form. The first one was on 16th April, 2012 over 324 yards which he settled in 18.78 seconds.
Nearly a month later he was left over 525 yards at Harold’s Cross on 15th May, 2012. This distance took him 30.26 seconds to race through.
The career debut of the two-year-old out of, Currans Merc, was in the Bet With The Tote 525 on 12th June, 2012 at Harold’s Cross over 525 yards. The evening’s favourite, Dog Vader, won the race in 29.18 seconds with the impressive margin of 4 ½ lengths. Kielduff Cool joined the winner after racing for 29.54 seconds and was soon followed by, Mollysbean.
His very next try ended with the same fate too. He qualified as the runner-up in the Grade A4 Dobbins @ The Cross 525 on 16th July, 2012 at Harold’s Cross over 525 yards.
The race was won by, Coolamber Queen in 29.19 seconds however, this time the two-year-old did not miss the race by any significant margin as he was behind by just a short head’s difference concluding the race in 29.19 seconds.
The Syndicate trained was then tuned up on 30th July, 2012 at Harold’s Cross over 355 yards. Kielduff Cool raced through in 18.08 seconds.
He ended third in the Grade A2 Kasko Dog Food 525 on 3rd August, 2012 at Harold’s Cross. The collective favourite timed the track distance in 29.52 seconds while the race was won by, Sheepwalk Mead, in 29.28 seconds.
It is high time that the black and white hound posts in a success.
