Arsenal full-back Kieran Gibbs has returned to full training for the Gunners and is set to make his way back into the starting eleven.
Arsene Wenger has gone on to reveal that Kieran Gibbs has finally recovered from his injury and has now started training with the first team once again.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international had been out of action for a couple of months and had left a gaping hole in the Gunners defence.
However, Wenger believes that with the defender now back in the team, his side can finally push for a top four finish once again.
When talking about the player and his return to fitness, the Gunners boss is quoted to have said: “He had a normal training session yesterday”
“He is still short [of match fitness to be ready] to play now but it is good news to have him back and I think one or two more weeks' practice will get him back to being available again. That is very positive.”
Sagna also made his return to the Gunners squad over the weekend, after suffering a leg break earlier in the season. Wenger feels that despite Gibbs needing time to get back into the squad, Sagna still possesses a slight chance of making the starting eleven
to face Bolton, this coming weekend.
Wenger then went on to add: “He is in the squad. Sagna is a bit ahead of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kieran-Gibbs-c20945 training-wise. Sagna is a bit early still [for tomorrow] but you never know. I might consider it because I have to check all the recoveries of the players who played on
Sunday.”
Over the last couple of weeks, Arsenal have had a very poor run in. The team went on to lose a number of games and seemed to be a mere shadow of what it became midway through the season.
Many believe that the number of injured players that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 had, really limited their options. However, with those injured players now back and seemingly being fresher than ever, the Gunners are going to be looking to go all out.
The team needs to push hard in every game from now on and if they fail to do so, they could miss out on the opportunity of playing in the Champions League.
