The Men from Caribbean have experienced a purple patch over the past few months, which saw them annihilating http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 last month. The World T20 title was their first World Cup triumph in more than three decades.
The West Indies cricket team is currently touring http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 for a full fledged series, comprising two Tests, five One day Internationals and a one-off T20 International against the hosts. Darren Sammy and men have already won the Test leg of the itinerary with a 2-0 margin, and are all set to challenge the Bengali Tigers in the ODI series, which gets underway in Khulna from Friday, November 30, 2012.
The 25-year-old Trinidad all-rounder, who has recently been promoted to the post of vice captain, has shared that the atmosphere in the West Indies team camp has been fantastic over the last few months.
"Since making my entry into the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 team, this period has been the best not only in terms of results on the field but also off the field" Pollard has been quoted as saying by the Caribbean Media Corporation (CMC).
"The players are playing for each other, the mood is great and we’ve a bunch of guys who are happy to be representing the people of Caribbean."
About his new role as Darren Sammy’s deputy, the Trinidadian all-rounder said, "I’m very excited to be in this role, supporting the captain Darren Sammy."
"He’s done a great job in motivating the players and getting them to play for him, I’m looking to support him 100 percent, in order to make sure we continue to get good results," added Pollard, who has to date played 63 ODIs and 31 T20 Internationals, and is yet to make his Test debut.
Having swept the Tigers 2-0 in the short Test series, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DJG-Sammy-c1382 and men will start the one-day leg of the tour on Friday.
