Kiitty with bloody butt?

My neutered male cat who is 9 years old had a bloddy butt. it was red blood not black or brown or dark. i was just wondering if i should worry and what to do it i should worry. We can't take him to the vet for another couple weeks because his records are being transfered.

  1. Yes you should worry. Forget the records and take him in. I can't imagine why his records would an issue. You can tell the vet what he needs to know to treat your cat. This could be potentially very serious. Depending on the amount of blood it could be life threatening. Both people and cats can die from GI bleeds. Since you did not say how much he was bleeding it is difficult to determine the severity of this. Has he had any other symptoms like diarrhea?


  2. I'm pretty sure any vet can see him because the animal is injured. Don't wait for a couple weeks. It could get worse. I don't think any vet would deny a animal in need.

  3. I would take him anyways without records.  The new vet can call the previous vet to get information needed or they can fax them over.  Bloody behinds could be an issue that needs immediate attention.

  4. because his records are being transferred is NOT a good reason not to take your cat to the vet...PLEASE take him he really needs to see a vet call your old vet and get the files faxed over to a new vet or something this could be serious!!!
