What can you put on the soil to reduce the amount of acid in the tomato fruit?

  1. Some people use cottonseed meal.

    I don't know what it does to the acidity, but the tomatoes sure taste better.

    I just had a plate full of fresh tomatoes with my corn bread, mashed potatoes, and fried cabbage....and of course-iced tea.

    I'm full as a tick.


  2. tomatoes grow best in acid soil ... but to answer your question ... mix in baking soda.

  3. Try adding salt to the soil.
