Killahara Jewel rated favourite for the Dunham Greyhound Centre Maiden - Duplicated
Killahara Jewel has been rated favourite for the Dunham Greyhound Centre Maiden - Duplicated at Doncaster in England on Monday, April 9, 2012. The winning greyhound will be awarded with a cash prize of £150.
The 483 metres grade OR, flat race will start at 13:30 (GMT) and the entries confirmed for it are as follows: Killahara Jewel, Curious Paddy, Ardera Grace, Battyford Sam, Pythagorean and Dunham Eden.
Killahara Jewel is not in great form right now, but he has been impressive in his overall outings. He has not raced at Doncaster in the past, but is expected to get used to the conditions very quickly.
D. Henry’s trained hound has managed to impress the bookies with his performances, thus he has been given the best odds today. He started his career with a few trial runs, but has been doing well in this grade for quite some time now and will be full of
confidence.
In his most recent race, the black dog was unable to make an impression and finished in a disappointing fifth place. He was not the favourite for that event, but things are a bit different today, as the rest of the runners are also not in great form.
The punters will be encouraged to place their bets on the race favourite dog, who is the son of Balintore Brave out of Blissful Jessie and was born in October 2009.
On the other hand, Curious Paddy will also be one of the top contenders for winning today’s race. He has been performing consistently in different grades, but things will not be easy for him at this level.
As a result, the bettors might be a touch reluctant over investing their money on M. A. Pugh’s trainee, who is the son of Phoenix Paddy out of Canaska Whitey and was born in July 2008.
Ardera Grace, trained by C. Morris, is also a good runner, but she will need a special effort in order to challenge the top two favourites. She is the daughter of Royal Impact out of Killough Nikita and was born in October 2008.
It will be a difficult race for Manic Battyford Sam, Pythagorean and Dunham Eden, as the top three runners are in a very good position to dominate the proceedings.
