Killbarry Rover favourite to finish first in Droopys Noel Final
Killbarry Rover owns the highest odds in the betting market for Droopys Noel @ Stud Open 525 Final which is going to take place at Shelbourne Park on Saturday night, April 14.
The G. Holland-trained black dog will capitalise well on the momentum produced by his marvellous 2-length clean victory in the last race, held on April 7.
The tonight’s Open Race over a distance of 525 yards is scheduled to begin at 21:15 (GMT). The prize purse contains €1000.
Killbarry Rover will face five strong rivals including Starry Messenger, Dundrum Master, Assasin Blue, Lolos Joe and Saleen Islandtwo.
The three-year-old novice runner stared his career on January 12, 2012. After finishing 2nd in first two races, he moved forward to bag a couple of consecutive triumphs, with the one gained by a big margin of 7 ½ lengths.
The son of Westmead Hawk out of Free Kewell remained fairly off-coloured during February and March. With the dawn of April, he picked up fresh form and registered an epic victory in the very first week of the month.
Now, the maverick young hound is determined to lift the ace title of Droopys Noel Final. If he manages to run to his utmost, his chances to finish first will be as high as 95 percent.
Some of Killbarry Rover’s competitors like Starry Messenger and Dundrum Master are also likely to fight potentially for the top spot.
Starry Messenger accomplished a conquest along with a runner-up position in December 2011. The G. Hollan-trained black dog had a rest during the first two months of the calendar year. He finished first in his last outing on April 7.
Throughout the first three months of 2012, Dundrum Master struggled for success which finally came on April 7. Losty’s black dog elegantly claimed first position by a margin of 3 lengths.
In this situation, there is likely to be a rip-roaring battle for tonight’s Final. The hot favourite hound will have to unleash relentless effort to thrive. Good luck to all the contestants.
