Killerk Sammy dominant on the lineup of the Stadium Bookmakers Sprint Trophy at Nottingham
Nottingham is to stage the Stadium Bookmakers Sprint Trophy over 305 metres flat on Monday, 9th April. Taking part in the contest tonight are Hazy Purty, Salacres Fever, Killerk Sammy, Bradgate Star, Caribbean Gem and Kilbreedy Way. The prize
money for the race is set at £150.
The most accomplished and promising entry for the race is Killerk Sammy, Droopys Scolari’s three-year-old black son out of b***h Ballaghboy Cool. He bagged four out of the six career starts that he underwent during 2012.
Killerk Sammy was successful in the first career start over 350 yards on 14th January. Tuning him to be the best during the season, P. Timmins trained him over 305 metres at Nottingham on 24th February, a distance which he mastered
in 18.39 seconds.
Killerk Sammy then struck the second win of the season by taking 18.22 seconds to complete the 305 metres distance at Nottingham on 2nd March. Finishing second right behind the winner was Patsys Best who was left behind by three lengths.
The three-year-old struck a hat trick on 10th March by winning a 305 metres race at Nottingham after clocking the track distance in 18.25 seconds. The winner led the runner up of the race, Fairway Fire, by 6 ¾ lengths.
The race that gave Killerk Sammy the chance of extending his hat trick to four turned out to be a miserable sixth ranking. On 17th March, the Grade D2 305 metres flat race at Nottingham was won by Pineapple Tommy who timed the distance in 18.31
seconds and had Defi Quest ending second.
Even though sent as the 5/4 favourite, Killerk Sammy could not finish the race decently.
Realizing the intensity of the loss, Killerk Sammy progressed drastically through the recent two starts by scoring second and then winning the race.
A Grade D2 305 metres race at Nottingham on 24th March had him ending as the runner up behind the winner Bradgate Star who was done racing in 18.21 seconds. Killerk Sammy was the 7/4 favourite runner up who took 18.27 seconds.
On 30th March, he concluded the 305 metres distance in 18.29 seconds and led the runner up of the race, Zulu Commander, by two lengths.
