Killieford Blaze likely to finish first in the Stayers Classic Final 2012
Killieford Blaze is all set to take the Monmore racecourse by storm in an effort to claim the title of the Ladbrokes Summer Stayers Classic Final 2012 that will be held on June 22. The high-stakes Open Race will commence at 16:38 (GMT).
On the flat course of 630 metres, the J. Bateason trained white and black dog will face five worthy rivals, such as Mark My Words, Westmead Maldini, Ballintine Molly, Granard Bound and Clerihan Gold. The prize purse of the event contains £7500.
Killieford Blaze possesses a terrific track record, and the two-year-old veteran hound has been enjoying great form since the very beginning of the calendar year.
The dashing dog marvellously accomplished a grand victory each in March, April and May.
The brilliant son of Ballymac Maeve out of Quare Deal, bagged a couple of consecutive triumphs in the month of June.
Now, the maverick sprinter will be running for his hat-trick in the 630 metres event at Monmore today.
If Killieford Blaze manages a solid run, he will have up to 95 percent chances of finishing first tonight.
However, Westmead Maldini seems to be a strong candidate for victory. The N. Savva trained blue dog had an excellent success streak of five consecutive victories last fall.
The experienced hound stepped up to bag a couple of consecutive triumphs during the first half of April, 2012. Since, the dawn of June, the son of Droopys Maldini out of Mega Delight, has been on the podium consistently.
Like Killieford Blaze, this hound is coming in tonight's race on the back of two consecutive victories, and will be running for his hat-trick.
It is expected that there will be a tough tug of war between, Killieford Blaze and Westmead Maldini, which will shape up the race all the more exciting.
Granard Bound will also do well in the grand final. The S. Mason trained black dog maintained his position on the podium continuously from May 12 to June 18, 2012.
After bagging a couple of consecutive triumphs in the first half of June, he went on to finish as a runner-up  in his last outing on June 18.
