Killieford Deal set to stand first in Caffreys Puppy Classic Trial Stakes at Nottingham
Killieford Deal can mow his rivals in the latter stages to guarantee an excellent win in the Caffreys Puppy Classic Trial Stakes, taking place at Nottingham on Monday, August 06, 2012.
Trained by Charlie Lister, the black dog recently ran well in defeat. After a few very good solo outings, the black dog stepped up to the open level on July 22nd, when finishing second to Watch Kitty. Although the son of Hondo Black failed to
raise his game, he was not disgraced last time.
Despite suffering plenty of mess early on, the dashing hound managed to seize third place on the chart. After a couple of unlucky rides, Killieford Deal is determined to break the shackles tonight.
Lister’s charge is due to face some big names such as, Mill Duke, Lightning Asset, Kay Gee Bee, Romeo Gallant and Deltic Tornado. The officials are due to commence the proceedings at 21:07 GMT. The winning hound will leave the field with a cash prize of
£150.
Romeo Gallant is well drawn, but needs to step up on his recent efforts to produce a better result this time. The black dog completed the order of finish twice last month.
Kay Gee Bee ran in the Puppy Derby at Wimbledon recently. The black dog was terrible last time, as he finished fourth after getting badly crowded in the beginning.
Deltic Tornado runs well in the trials, but has not shown anything special at the top level so far. The black and white dog could only defeat the back marker on his previous outing here last month.
Lightning Asset won four races last month, but at the lower level. The black dog was awful on last two occasions, but his experience counts a lot. Mill Duke does not have much experience under his belt, and doing well against this line-up will be a tough
task.
Killieford Deal seems to be in the best position to grab the first position. He just needs to avoid crowding in order to make himself prominent early on. We wish the best of luck to all the runners.
