Killieford Khali set to shock his rivals in Caffreys Puppy Classic Trial Stakes at Nottingham

Charlie Lister’s skilful hound, Killieford Khali, recently opened his account over 480 metres, and has a lot more to offer. So, a chance can be taken on him in the 500-metre Caffreys Puppy Classic Trial Stakes at Nottingham on Monday, August 06, 2012.
The black dog came to this track for the second time in mid July. In a 480 metres open race, Hondo Black’s son missed the gold medal only by a short head’s distance. He was not disgraced on his subsequent trip, when finishing third behind Droopys Felipe.
After a couple of unlucky rides, Killieford Khali unchained the shackles, and registered his first win at the open level. Despite getting crowded at the first bend, he managed to get a handsome lead, which he retained until the end.
An excellent victory would have boosted his confidence to a great extent and thus, he will surely be a tough hound to beat today. He is facing a very strong opposition, and among his opponents are: Romeo You Decide, Skywalker Flash, Farley Semour, Droopys
Hayden and Garlyn Rocky. The contest is due to get underway at 20:37 GMT.
Farley Semour is the one to keep an eye on for future reference. The blue dog recently made a few brilliant trial races. Yet, one will have to wait and see how he transfers his good rhythm to this level.
Skywalker Flash ran well in defeat last week, when finishing second to Peacemaker over 480 metres. Triumphs seem to have dried up for the blue and fawn dog, who is unlikely to spark tonight.
Droopys Hayden is a useful local hound, who should not be underestimated. However, it is hard to expect him to win after a terrible defeat he faced recently. Romeo You Decide has the ability to get an early lead, and any crowding in behind can see him go
beyond recall. Garlyn Rocky recently suffered two consecutive defeats at Coventry.
Romeo You Decide is surely a very powerful hound, but it will be a tough task for him to stop Killieford Khali from notching up the first place. We wish the best of luck to all the runners.
