Killing caterpillers

caterpillers are decimating my impatiens. i've sprayed the plants, but that just seems to kill the critters currently on them. what do i use to treat the plants that will kill anything that munches on them?

  1. For residual control use a systemic insecticide, we use Merit, but im not sure whats available to home owners. The key is the systemic gets into the plant and any thing that feeds on it will ingest insecticide.

    Do not use on or around vegetable gardens.

  4. if you are sure they are caterpillars Bt products such as dipel work well
