okay here in Australia wild cats are a huge problemcos people dont take care of their cats and let them become wild which means they start killing our native wild life. We have 1000's of wild cats killing all of the local birdsand many many other native animals in australia. So people have started killing the wild cats and making them into rugs, hats, clothing, etc. What do you think about people killing wild cats? do you think there is a better way to deal with the problem?

  1. That's awful.

That's why people should be responsible for fixing their pets.

What a bunch of jacka@@es walking around wearing cat fur..

    douchebags

  2. I solely believe that.. watever god wants he will do it.

  3. I personally think it is crule to kill animals. The cat may be killing bird and wildlife but that makes us no better than the cat if we kill the cats they have a life to and god dosent want the cats shot that is horible mean and cruel call new york citty animal control and get there answere or call aspca and they will thell u that is very CRUEL TO DO THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. thats a load of bullshit, leave nature to take its course, in other words leave the cats to live their lives to their full extent, the stronger wildlife will put them in their place if needed

  5. yes, the feral cat population is a difficult topic.  Same problem here in the US.

I am for killing them.  I don't think they should be made into products though-that is gross.

Anyways why kill them: 1. they kill birds and other wildlife

    2.  they act as a resevoir of disease for responsible people's pet cats

    3.  they contaminate the environment with parasites that people--especially children can get

    4.  many are not cared for---no proper food, no vaccinations.

There are some who capture the cats, neuter them then release them back where they found them.  This may stop them from breeding, but it does not stop the killing of wild life, disease spread or lack of general care for these cats.

There are some areas where people do feed them or vaccinate them, but again you still have wildlife and parasite issues.

Some people want to capture these cats and put them up for adoption-well that is great if people can find homes for them, but many of these cats are not socialized to people and dont' make great pets.  There are many more cats availablre in shelters that would make good pets.
