Kim Hall says she is ready to play Mobile Bay LPGA Classic
Kim Hall has said that she is ready to participate in the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic, scheduled to take place from April 26-29, at Magnolia Grove’s Crossings Course.
Before the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic formally kicks off on Thursday, Hall will play the Hope for the Warriors on Tuesday.
According to the details, the American rookie has confirmed her participation in the prestigious event, saying she is eager to prove her mettle in bigger events.
Although she has never confronted LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) giants before, Mobile Bay LPGA Classic can be a good opportunity for her to improve her game.
Officials said that the Hope for the Warrior is an inaugural event being held to pay homage to military personnel who have come back home from battlefields.
Speaking to the media about the event, Hall said that she is extremely thrilled to be part of the field, and will try to atone for her past mistakes.
"I think it's awesome," Hall said of the event. "Anything we can do to help make their lives a little better when they get back is a small thing to do".
She told the media that her husband, Casey, will be her bagman in the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic. Expressing her confidence in her husband’s caddy skills, she said that she is looking forward to a much better game this week.
She added that she plays well whenever Casey is on her bag, as he is pretty good at mentoring.
"It's really cool. I didn't think my husband was going to be able to get leave. ... I love having him on the bag, even though we're assured to have a fight, it's still going to be great," she said.
"We're great together. He knows me and I know him, so I think this is going to be really fun for us. I think we're also going to play some golf with some of the vets in the area and we're looking forward to everything".
Hall has been out of touch with a professional game for months, as she played her last LPGA tournament in 2009. She participated in Navistar LPGA Classic in Prattville.
