The Swedes were unfortunately unable to secure more than one win in the group stages and have therefore been eliminated. They will be heading home along with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 and France progress to the next round from their group.
According to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sweden-c3015 international, his side were taking the positives from the result against the French. He revealed the 2-0 win over France had given them hope ahead of their preparations for the qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup in

twice with the French outfit.
It could have been his familiarity with the French style of play which helped him perform well against the Blues in the European Championship. Kallstrom said in an interview after the match:
“We made them play poorly. Maybe I should not say 'poorly' but we disarmed them well before they got into our defensive third of the field.
All in all, it was a good game from our point of view. It was the first time we have managed to win in the tournament, which is a bit frustrating but results don't lie. So we must now pack our bags and go home.
Kallstrom urged his side to build on the win over France and turn their attentions towards the World Cup qualifiers, which are scheduled to take place this autumn. He admitted his side had a tough time in this tournament, but they hoped to improve.
He revealed:
“We need to elaborate on this before the World Cup qualifiers in the autumn. Even if it was a very tough tournament for us in terms of the results, at least we had a very good finish to it.”
