Who Thinks Kimbo Is A Good Fighter?

i Think He Is A Looong Way Off Of Deserving The Attention He Gets. He Has Horrible Conditioning. His Striking Isn't That Polished. I Hate To Say It But We Are Passed The Tank Abbott Brawler Era Of Fighting. And Thats All He Is. He Has No Ground Game Or Wrestling Skill.

He Is A Great White Shark. Big Strong And Made Perfectly For What He Does But He's Out Dated And Is Easy To Destroy. A Good Punch In the Nose And Send Him Home To Get Any Color Belt In Jiu Jitsu. Guy Needs Ground Game.

I agree!! Get Kimbo the heck outta here. Beating up thugs in your yard and fighting losers like Tank Abbott of all people doesn't impress me at all. Wait till he finally has to fight a real man. He's done!!

Well not such a well rounded father, but he is Good for MMA. I know he didn't pay his dues like the other fighters did. I agree that he went pro wayyy too fast. So what do I like about him? Did you see the crowd when he had his first fight on Elite XC? It looked sold out and there were lots of people holding Kimbo signs. If he brings more people to the sport then what is wrong with that? With more viewers there is the chance for more money for the promotions and hence the fighters. That can't be all bad can it? The competition has gotten tougher from what I can see from the begining though. Some still like to see someone get in there and represent the brawlers. I think Kimbo realizes that he needs to get in the gym and learn as much as he can also. He is working on it I"m sure. I'm just going to sit back and watch the "Rocky" story unfold (only in America).

you *** holes always sayin **** but kimbo in the end he is therw and u are not okay and he is a natural athelete who is training with the man who won one of the biggest martial arts tornaments in the history of the world.....bas rutten a ufc champion and well kimbo might not be the best but he never said he was and the hype was built up but u cant actualy hate him for it it is not his doing and well he is  a good fighter and that is that will he ever be the best no way but might he be a ufc or pride or wec champion for a bit there is a good shot

Maybe so, but he gives Youtube viewers something to talk about.  The hype is what the promoters are after anyway.  As far as MMA skills go, very questionable.

Die-hard MMA fans can thumb their noses at Kimbo all they want because he has no ground game, but the fact is that if he catches ANY MMA fighter in the world with just 1 or 2 solid punches (something he IS good at), they're going to get KO'd.  THAT's why some people like to watch Kimbo Slice fights.  

Kimbo isn't an "MMA" fighter.  He's a now famous brawler and a streetfighter who's attempting to learn the sport of MMA (at an advanced age for the sport...).  I don't expect Kimbo to be the most polished MMA fighter ever - he's not going to be.  After all, he's only got about 1 year of actual MMA experience at age 35!  

I do find him intriguing though - I look forward to seeing how far a guy with iron fists and a solid chin can go in MMA against guys who rely more on ground-fighting than stand-up fist fighting.
