  1. Yeah I agree. Every fighter would be shaking with laughter at his total lack of real skills.

  2. No only a complete idiot would agree with you.

Kimbo barly beat a guy who has lost his last three fights and is considered a joke by everyone in mma.  Kimbo isnt even a top 3 heavyweight in Elite XC  he would be killed in UFC

  3. In all honesty he would in no way shake up any organization's HW division as he is right now. His last fight really showed a lot of his weaknesses. He doesn't have any takedown defense or much of a ground game for that matter. Also his punching power has to be suspect now. Thompson isn't known for having a good chin and Kimbo landed a lot of flush punches before the fight was  stopped, and even then Thompson wasn't really out. So with a lack of ground game and suspect KO power it is hard to believe that he would be able to shake up any HW division unless he ups his training and advances his skills in all areas

  4. Did you see Kimbo struggle on the ground against a mediocre fighter last Saturday?  Randy Coutre or Fedor Emelianenko would eat him for breakfast and have room left over for cheerios.

  5. Yes, someone agrees: Gary Shaw.

  6. Kimbo would not last one round with a good UFC heavy weight. ( Ask Brock Lesner) Kimbo is c**p! all he has is punching power. He has no ground game and no stamina. He should have lost to James Thompson, and he sucks! He has lost his last 6 fights and took all that Kimbo could give. Kimbo is a novalty act. A circus attraction. Thats it.

  7. No. He will lose to a lot of heavyweight. he hasn't had enough training yet to beat many of the fighters with superior skills. But I understand he is working on his training. It will be better to bring him along slowly. Let him keep beating up tomato can.

  8. h**l No! Did you even see Kimbo's last fight on TV. It sucked. He got worked over and only won beacuse the other guy didnt drain his ear befor the fight and it poped. Kimbo would be walked threw in the UFC

  9. oh h**l shake it up.. but it will be the shaking his body involuntatily does on the ground after someone knocks him out... that being said i think he could do well eventually...

  10. Not right now, he might get a couple of lucky wins right now against nobodys.  i think heath hearing could beat kimbo and hes a  ( b )   fighter!!!

  11. kimbo got destroyed by glass jaw thompson he lost a street fight to sean gannon who ot destroyed in the UFCby a guy named brandon lee hinkle kimbo weont last 2 minutes wityh anyone form uFC

  12. i definitely agree theres a frightening light that revolves around kimbo. Hes just a badass and would be a challenge to anybody.

  13. If by shake up you mean give a bunch of them easy wins, pad their records, and have guys who would otherwise lose their contracts with the UFC due to losing records contine to fight and water down the division.... then yes I think he would shake it up.

  14. you know i always evaluate kimbo objectively throughout these questions and i do find a little bit of exciting hope in him...

in reality, i dont know if he could get one win in the ufc fighting the fights they do....look at lesnar, wanted to be a fighter, so his first two fights are frank mir and heath herring??  thats some pretty good competition for having a 1-0 record...

people even think lesnar vs kimbo would be a good fight...i think it would be good if your a lesnar fan when his wrestling doiminates kimbo...frank mir would have submitted kimbo 11 times in the first round if he were james thompson...and so on and so on....

  15. BOOOO

  16. I just find it odd that this question had 19 replies in three hours as compared to some of the others.  At the time I am posting this the next closest was asked 8 hours ago and has 9 replies.  Kimbo and Gary are doing something right as far as the marketing goes.

Kimbo shouldn't be compared even to Brock Lesnar who has a wrestling pedigree and stated that if he were to switch to MMA he didn't want to be "In the Mix" he wanted to be at the top of the division, so he trained for a couple of years before debuting.

Kimbo just wanted to make a legitimate dollar with fighting and not have to do illegal backyard brawls to feed his family.  He's trained hard, and has managed to do exactly what he has set out to do, take care of his family legitimately.  He is not responsible for how he has been marketed, I am sure he would have rather not had the pressure of the biggest MMA fight in history in only his third fight, but it is what it is

No, Kimbo wouldn't shake up[ th HW division with anything more than a marketing gimmic and generate probably the biggest PPV ever with a fight with Brock, or Rampage, or Chuck all of whom would take Kimbo inside of three minutes.

  17. No.  He looked dangerous standing but out of his league - and out of shape - on the ground.  He was lucky for the premature stoppage as he was out of gas.  His opponent had recovered from a similar situation earlier in the fight and possibly would have again.  Put him against an elite fighter and unless he managed to bum rush him he wouldn't stand a chance.

  18. I can't agree. I'm a big fan of Kimbo, but to send him to the UFC right now at his current skill level... it just wouldn't be safe. Those guys wouldn't just beat him, Dana White would see to it that he got seriously hurt, just to prove a point. And any one of the HW's on  the UFC's roster could do it.

  19. I think he's a force that'll keep growing. Rampage Jackson was a street brawler and now is the 205 champ.

Brock Lesnar was a pro wrestler and is a threat.

I think Brock and Kimbo would be an awesome match up.

  20. He'll get his butt kicked!

  21. Not by a long shot.

  22. I think that he still has a lot of work to do in the area of his ground game. With a few more fights and some practice I think that he could do some things. His fists are impressive weapons on their own, but the other heavyweights, especially in the UFC are skilled in other martial arts that can virtually nullify the boxing aspect.

  23. No. For a few reasons.

    1. His supposedly iron fists had free shots and couldnt knock out James "Glass Jaw" Thompson without ref stoppage. As far as Im concerned thats an indicator he doesnt have nearly as much power as hyped.

    2. He has no ground game and very little diversity as far as his striking goes. As far as his ground game goes, the fight against the Boston PD (on you tube) and Thompson speak for themselves. His striking still leaves a lot to be desired. I have yet to see a good jab, or even a good set up to his big haymakers. Also, a lot of the UFC heavyweights are developing leg kicks with good power and I dont see that in Kimbo.

    3. The man is a substance abuser. His smokers lungs couldnt even make it through the third round with Thompson. He collapsed on the floor like he was the one who got knocked out. Sure he can get in better shape, but that wont change the fact that his damaged lungs will never be as functional as the other guys.

  24. He aint got talent.  He's brutal and tough, but someone with great footwork or grappling won't give him a chance.

  25. kimbo would have no chance in a legit fighting league. including UFC OR WEC. His hands are not even close to ready for even lesner who has proved his boxing style has improved. kimbo is a wanna be and until he loses this undeserved fame he will not ever make the effort to be the fighter he could be.

  26. No, I do not agree.

  27. The short-lived hype about Kimbo Slice would shake up the UFC, but once Kimbo lost to an experienced fighter he would be lucky to get another fight in the UFC again. Dana White realizes that Kimbo can't beat any of his heavyweights, that is why he has been reluctant to offer Kimbo a fight in the UFC. I think a Kimbo loss in the UFC would also be disastrous for Elite XC as Kimbo is the best fighter they have. It would make Elite XC look vastly inferior to the UFC and diminish future pay-per-view revenues for them.

  28. Kimbo isn't going to shake up anything except a dry martini.  He doesn't have the all-around skills to back up his punching skills.
