Is anyone else disappointed with Kimbos fight on saturday night. I thought it was a boring fight, with a couple of punches that connected. I thought it was going to be a first round, first minute knock out and im just dissapointed, anyone else?

  1. i want him to fight a top tier guy. i like the guy, but he hasn't proven anything to me. and the state department fcukked up the matches with those stoppages. that would never happen in ufc

  2. Well if kimbo would have just stayed on his feet and not gone on the ground for half the first round. But when kimbo was on the ground he was taking hit after hit after hit after hit and got right back up when the bell rang. hes a beast.

  3. I agree with Phoenix. I was happy to see it b/c it sort of exposed him as a fraud. But yes I thought it would be an early knock out I even predicted it on here.

  4. In order to be disappointed you have to have expectations of something....I didnt expect anything from this fight.  Kimbo fought a tomato can in James "Glass Jaw" Thompson, and what makes my arguement that Kimbo is trash as an MMA fighter is how much he struggled with Thompson.

Put it this way, butterbean took out Thompson in the first round and butterbean is just as much trash as the next crappy MMA fighter.  Thompson doesn't have any notable wins in my opinion.

I was hoping this would help MMA, espcially putting Corano on the cards, and seeing Corano's fight was the only treat of the whole show. for the most part I thought I was watching WWE with the horrible entrances.

I dont blame Kimbo, he's exploiting the sport to get paid and if the are going to headline you, more power to him, but I blame EliteX and CBS for making the sport look awful in the eyes of potential future fans.

  5. Kimbo Slice although he may be a nice guy has no business being a main event on a major network primetime show.  He is big, slow, out of shape and completely outclassed as an MMA fighter.  He could be beaten by any number of middle to lower tier fighters in several different organizations.  He is at most a gimmick or fad.

These are true athletes that put their heart and soul into this from early on.  Years and years of training to do one thing be the best they can be. The least he could do is take this a little more serious.

You can't really blame Kimbo though.  Gary Shaw gets a big contract with the network,  sells his soul to get it no doubt, waves a fistful of cash in front of Kimbo.  h**l,  I'd get in there for a fight if he did it for me.

  6. I don't know what fight you were watching, but I thought that those couple of times when Kimbo almost lost were pretty intense. I liked it...
