races.
In addition, he said that they need to improve their qualifying pace in the races ahead so as to secure a competitive grid position in the next race. Besides, he said that consistency is going to be a critical factor in the approaching race.
“Qualifying is going to be very, very important again here. Obviously, there will be an advantage to starting on the clean side of the track as the streets are only used as a circuit once each year,” said Raikkonen. “It's not an easy place to overtake and
we'll have to see how much help the DRS will be. Valencia is all about being very consistent. It's so easy to lose time with small mistakes. Valencia is all about being very consistent. It's so easy to lose time with small mistakes.”
At present, the Finnish driver is standing at 6th position in the drivers’ championship with 55 points. Additionally, he is just 2 points ahead of his teammate, Romain Grosjean and 12 points behind Nico Rosberg of Mercedes.
On the other hand, Lotus are currently at third place in the constructors’ championship with 108 points. Moreover, they are 11 points ahead of Ferrari and 25 points behind McLaren.
