If so, why? And does any other dances do the same?

  1. No, I don't think so because my feet are a size 6 and I'm almost 15.  I don't think any other dances make your feet bigger as well.

  2. the only change that i noticed in terms of feet-size was the width. i definitely had to buy wider shoes, especially dress shoes. not quite sure why they seemed to get wider.

  3. No but your feet will probably hurt when you go on pointe, but as far as regular ballet, no

  4. As far as the length, no.  Your genetics determine that.  However, ballet will give you a dancer's feet, which is bruised up, swollen, and nasty most of the time.

  5. No. It did mess mine up though--they're scarred and bruised from pointe, and my toenails will never be the same. :-(

If you start wearing pointe shoes before the bones in your feet are fully formed, it can actually damage the bone structure and, in some extreme cases, stunt the growth of the foot.

  6. normally not....

but if it does it's cuz u gain lots of muscle in your feet

  7. no. ballet has no affect on your foot growth
