Question:

Kind of early, but I'm torn...?

So, I'm a senior in high school. (Well, almost)

For a couple of years I have been dead-set on going to medical school. I've even prepared myself by taking college classes in high school. My goal is to become a medical examiner.

But now, my drive is starting to slack off, because I want to pursue something more in the art field. Preferably, interior design.

I'm torn on what to choose and what will be more beneficial to me in the long run. Both careers interest me but they are on two different ends of the educational spectrum.

Ah, I don't know what to do. I know I still have time to think about it, but I'm the type of person who likes to know what I'm getting into before I get there.

Any helpful suggestions?

  1. Sweety being confused will stop you from doing anything ,I suggest you go to a quiet place and ask GOD want do he want you to do and ask him to give you a sign .If it's medical send a person with a cold ,if it's whatever send that kind of person

  2. Try both then pick one. You can always change your plans later. Whats the point of life if you don't have fun with it?

  3. Why not "take a peek" into both fields. See if you can find a mentor in both fields and shadow them around. Ask them the pros and cons and keep a journal on each day that you work in that field. At the end see which one you like better. The one which is going to be more beneficial is the one that you enjoy most, this is something that you are going to get up every day to go to and you should want to do it with a smile.

    -Hope this helps-

  4. Really, it's about what you want.

Being a medical examiner would probably earn you more money in the long run, but that won't matter if you aren't enjoying it.

If you really want to be an interior designer, i would say go for it. You will be the happiest later in life if you pursue what you want to pursue.
