Kind of embarrassed to ask but...is it ok for a guy to wear a little bit of makeup to hide his acne?

I saw a dermatologist and im on medication but i still get mild pimples nd redness

--------Im a guy who cares about how he looks around people and i want to look good but the makeup that i use to cover my zits cant be found in drug stores. SO WHAT CAN I BUY FROM A DRUG STORE TO HIDE MY ZITS REALLY WELL. PLZ IM TOTALLY LOST. and i know nothing about makeup or what even to buy. help!!

is it ok if i do this or does it seem weird?

don't know if it holds for other girls, but personally, a guy wearing foundation or concealer is odd.

But if you mix a foundation with moisturizer, you can get light coverage that can even out your redness and take attention away form your pimples. It's good for your skin and isn't obvious at all.

It's okay and it's not weird.  I conceal my husband's breakouts with makeup.  You need to buy a concealer makeup brush, which is a small, flat brush with a rounded bristle head.  You can get this at the drugstore.  Buy L'Oreal True Match concealer because it comes in a nice little tube with a little brush, and it's easy to find a shade that matches your skin.  This is sold at the drugstore too.  If you're in doubt about which shade to get, get the lighter shade because makeup gets darker on your skin because of the natural oils on your face.

Apply the tiniest amount to the pimple, and then dot and blend it into the pimple with the brush.  Using just a little bit of makeup and blending it with the brush will look very natural, and no one will know you have makeup on.  

After you apply the concealer, step back from the mirror and see how it looks.  You don't want to apply too much.  Less is usually more.  It might take a little practice, but you'll get the hang of it in no time.  

No one ever notices when I put concealer on my husbands face in this way, and it works really well.

yeah makeup for a guy (JUST A LITTLE) is perfectly fine. Just make sure it doesn't show, and about the whole wanting to get rid of acne, I suggest drinking LOTS of water. It helps, it really does! But about the makeup you want, just get some foundation that really matches your skin tone. Check it in a lot of different lights so it blends perfectly:)

If you just went to a dermatologist to get your face cleared up and then start wearing make-up its gonna fack up your skin even more.

I suggest you wait till it goes away.

It's normal for it to be red and have more/still have acne.

Any brand will work, just make sure it's your skin color and BLEND
