Kind of sharp pains just below the hip?

Hi, I'm a 14 year old 800M and 1600M runner. Ever since we were doing some 200M relays (sprinting) in practice, I've had kind of large amounts of pain sort of just on the hip joint on the front of the top of your thigh, kind of where it connects to your thigh. I felt it start in the middle of one of the sprints. Are there any ways I could stretch or mend the pain so that it stops? I'm hoping to get it to stop completely because I've got about a month to shave 8 seconds from my 800M time for my school's record.

  1. Sounds like it could be a your hip flexor, the muscle in front of your hip. Try out the stretch shown on the website listed as my source. If that doesn't help, see a doctor.
