sound like even though state law says that kids can start kindergarden at the age of 5, most families in Utah start their kids at the age of 6?

In Utah, do all kids tend to attend preschool before they start kindergarden and what's the cost normally like per month? is there a long waiting list for attending preschool?

  1. Kids have to turn 5 by Sept. 1st. So a lot of kids miss the cut off date. My daughter was born on the 5th...so yes she will be 6 when she starts Kindergarten.

Both of my daughters attend and attended Preschool. IDK prices because my oldest daughter attends a private catholic school so the tuition was a little more expensive then most and my youngest attends a preschool at the University I attend, so it is a lot cheaper than normal places.

I hear the going rate is 70-100 bucks a week though.
