Kindergarten teachers?

What are nice themed ideas to do in a class throughout the year?

Any good websites to get some info & material off?

Aged group 3-6year olds

I have used these sites on occasion. at the preschool one I get ideas to run off, but sometimes I actually do the activities posted. Most are preschool level though. i just used the themes to get started. The other websites are great, and one has more websites to go to. Some with complete lesson plans for the whole unit. When I taught kindergarten, I had centers that were seasonal. The centers that I had were: Library(Reading), Writing, Arts & Crafts, Science/Math, Home Living/Social Studies, Games/Construction, Music/Drama, Computer.

I would change my centers weekly usually having to do with the seasons. If you need more info, just email me [e-mail]

I remember when i was in kindergarten, the teacher had alphabet dolls that would make an appearance in class, and teach us that particular letter that day.  Obviously, it worked, seeing as I remember it still, and its been almost 27 years ago.

Kindergarten is ONLY for children from four to six years.  I don't know where you get the information that kindergarten is also for three year olds but personally I have never heard of that.  Three year olds are CLEARLY too young.  It doesn't matter if they are mature but they really shouldn't be going to school that young.  I would rather have them skip a grade when they are older.
