Kindergranden doesnt listen to teacher?

my five year old doesn't listen to teacher and hides under the table at school when he is told what to do

Tell him to stop -- that if he gets in trouble at school, he will be in twice as much trouble at home.

start making visits to school to make them know you are watching and will be called for misbehaving. watch him through a window or notify teacher you are there but dont let your child know...teacher can get you when needs you. your child needs to know the behavior will not be tolerated though. maybe make an awards chart.

Sounds to me like he's an immature 5 socially that wasn't ready for kindergarten yet.

You may need to sit down with him and the teacher and discuss this and find out what you can do at home to work with him as well as have BOTH of you explain the expectations of behavior again to him so he knows you mean business and are working together.
