  1. The constant speed of the horse is 10 m/s, and the distance from the limb to the level of the saddle is 3.00m.

    2.) How long is he in the air?

    Δx = vo Δt + ½ a Δt² ; a = gravity

    Δx = 3.00m ; Δt = ?; vo = 0

    3 = 0 + 9.8 / 2 Δt²

    3 / 4.9 = Δt²

    t = 0.78 s

    1.) The horizontal distance between the saddle and limb?

    How far does the horse travel in t seconds?

    v = 10 m/s; t =  0.78 s

    10 *  0.78 = 7.8 m
