  1. Equation for kinetic energy:

    Ek = (1/2) mv^2

    122J = (1/2) (0.145 kg) v^2

    v^2 = 1682.7586 (m^2/s^2)

    v = 41.0 m/s

  2. mass of the baseball m=145g=0.145kg

    kinetic energy of the baseball 1/2 mv^2=122J

    or, v^2=(2 x 122J)/m=244J/0.145kg

    or, v=sq.root of 244J/0.145kg=41.02m/s

  3. 145 g=0.145kg

    KE=0.5mv^2

    KE=0.5(0.145)v^2

    KE=(0.0725)v^2

    122/0.0725=v^2

    1,682.76=v^2

    41.02 m/s=v
