  1. You need to install the font into your system. Then it will show up in the fonts lists of your programs.

Find the file you downloaded from dafont on your computer. It is a zipped file. It will most likely contain the font(s) a text read-me and maybe an explorer link. You will need to unzip the file before you can do anything with it. Right click on the file and select expand (or extract) and have it extract right back to where the original folder is so you can find it.

In the extracted folder, you will have file(s) with the .ttf extension.

Go to your fonts folder. Either through the start menu > control panels > fonts (make sure you are using Classic View for the control panels - it's much easier). OR go to My Computer>Drive C>Windows>Fonts.

You can then either copy the new fonts (just the ttf files) from the file you expanded and paste them into the fonts folder (best thing to do if you want to share the fonts with someone else - it will be easier to find them again in a known place than in the fonts folder). Or you can cut and paste them into the fonts folder or you can just drag them into the fonts folder.

When you are installing the font, it should bring up a "thermometer" showing that it is happening. That's it.

If you have any programs running you will probably need to quit and restart them before they see the newly installed font. Worse case scenario - if the fonts aren't showing up, restart the computer.
