Liverpool manager, Kenny Dalglish, claims that it is business as usual for the Reds as they prepare for match against Manchester United as if it were any other match.
The Merseyside club has been in fine form over the past few weeks in what has been the more fruitful period of their current footballing season.
After a humiliating defeat against Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok Stadium, following which the Liverpool manager lashed out at the attitude of his players, the Reds have sprung to life as they dumped both Manchester clubs, City and United, out of the Carling
and FA Cups respectively.
A 3-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers followed which saw misfiring striker, Andy Carroll, find the back of the net and a 0-0 against high flying Tottenham Hotspur saw the return of Luis Suarez.
Suarez, who was returning from his eight match ban following allegations of racially abusing Manchester United’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrice-Evra-c29231, looked sharp though he could not cap his return to the playing field with a goal.
As for the manager, Dalglish was pleased to share that he would have a full squad to choose from for the highly anticipated clash, but at the same time the coaching staff were not preparing for the match against their bitter rivals any different from how
they would for a regular match.
He said, “The work we do is not any different. We always try and concentrate on what we do best, while at the same time doing a little bit on what we think the opposition might do.”
Dalglish will take solace from the fact that United have not managed to beat the Reds in two attempts this season, however the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 manager would not allow that to go to his players heads.
He continued, “The success they’re had is obviously far greater than some other teams but the preparations aren’t any different.”
Brave words from the Anfield legend, though if one was to look at his track record it would be difficult not to trust the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Scotland-c756 international’s ability.
Old Trafford is sure to be a lively place come match day and it is a fixture that neither side will want to lose.
