King Lauchlan hot favourite for O.s. & B. Society Trophy at Hove
King Lauchlan is in sublime form these days and has the best chance of sealing the top rank in the O.s. & B. Society Trophy, being held at Hove on Thursday, May 31st. The black dog has been unbeaten since the outset
of his career, as he was triumphant in his all three appearances.
E. McNair’s trainee started off his career with a couple of emphatic triumphs at Wimbledon. After proving his mettle over 480 metres, he moved to 515 metres and displayed an equally good show last time.
The audience at Hove saw him topping the chart by three and a half lengths. The maverick hound has been in good terms with success and there is no reason why he should not have a big run today.
With three consecutive wins under his belt, the son of Droopys Vieri is all set to face five runners. Among his opponents are: Mash Mad Snowy, Planning, Smiler Jack, Gemstone Jack and Ballymac Benefit.
The 515 metres flat race will be started at 19:46 GMT. The prize money reserved for the ultimate champion is £150.
Mash Mad Snowy will be a huge threat to King Lauchlan. The blue dog is also in the early days of his career and holds a wonderful track record. S. Cahill’s trainee was badly thrashed in a 475 metres contest earlier this month.
Despite finishing fifth, he did not lose his confidence and demonstrated an impressive act last time around.
In a similar contest, the rampant hound secured the top position by a length’s distance, covering the distance in 30.25 seconds – a bit higher than King Lauchlan’s last effort.
Ballymac Benefit might fail to trouble the judge, as she is in poor form these days. Smiler Jack cannot afford to make even a slight mistake in this assembly.
Gemstone Jack might not be seen with a winning chance today. Planning is in good shape, but it is going to be an uphill task for him to beat the likes of King Lauchlan and Mash Mad Snowy.
According to our predictions, King Lauchlan will easily be able to notch up the top spot today. We wish the best of luck to everyone.
