Kinga Cichowska captures Women’s 100m breaststroke gold: Day four – Polish LC Championships
Kinga Cichowska of MKP Slowianka Gorzow Wlkp. captured gold medal of the Women’s 100m breaststroke on fourth day of the Polish Long Course Championships in Olsztyn, Poland on May 15.
Cichowska faced tough competition from her challengers throughout the discipline but with her fascinating efforts, she managed to reach the top of podium for gold medal.
Her incredible effort remained just a touch away from her strongest competitor and her team-member, Paulina Zachoszcz but ended her swim in a top time of 1 minute and 10.95 seconds.
The champion was trailed by Zachoszcz, who stayed just 0.01 seconds slower and transpired on the finishing wall for silver medal by posting a time of 1 minute and 10.96 seconds.
Third spot of the event was secured by Weronika SWR Paluszek of WKS “Slask” Wroclaw, who was almost half a body length behind and settled on the victory stand for bronze medal by tapping the wall with an effort of 1 minute and 11.62 seconds.
The bronze medallist was chased by Ewa Scieszko of Azs-Ulpl Lodz, who was 1.41 seconds apart and ended her swim in a time of 1 minute and 13.03 seconds for fourth position of the event.
Fifth best spot of the race was obtained by Agnieszka Ostrowska of AZS PWSZ Raciborz, who was 0.64 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and hit the finishing end with an effort of 1 minute and 13.67 seconds.
Ostrowska was chased by Paluszek’s teammate, Paulina Szydlo, who proved her eligibility for sixth position of the event by clocking a time of 1 minute and 14.01 seconds.
Seventh finest spot of the race was obtained by Karolina Urbanska of KS AZS-AWFiS Gdansk, who stayed 0.17 seconds slower from her preceding finisher and surfaced on the finishing blockade by posting an effort of 1 minute and 14.18 seconds.
Eighth position of the event was secured by Aleksandra Pelowska, who ended her swim by posting a time of 1 minute and 14.31 seconds.
In addition, the session came to an end after the event while the position holder received medals for their notable efforts at the ceremony.
