its a semi auto...but i dont suggest you get this gun      (dont get me wrong, its a good gun) but what i do recommend you get is a Spyder tl-r. ive paintballin for 4 years. and have tried a lot of guns and that is one of the best low end gun you could get . In less than what you can get a "good" gun stock, you can customize a tl-r to be better than it....HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!!!! IT'LL TAKE  A LOT OF DAMAGE. you can drop it, kick it, drop-kick it,  stomp on it and everything(dont suggest it) and it'll shoot perfectly and its very accurate
