No.  If we didn't have the Queen, we would have to have an elected president, and that would be more expensive.  The Queen costs every British taxpayer 66p a year.  The Italian president, for instance, costs £1.24 a year, almost double.  Plus we'd have to have more tedious elections.  The monarchy is cheap at the price.
