Kings XI Punjab opener Shaun Marsh has said that he is not only enormously delighted with his 71-run knock against the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rajasthan-c837 Royals, but also happy for the fact that he played his compatriot Shane Warne well.
Marsh’s 71 helped Punjab complete a convincing 48-run victory over the Royals on Thursday.
Marsh raised his half-century in the 14th over of Punjab’s innings by smashing his countryman Warne for three massive sixes.
Extremely happy over his fantastic innings from just 42 balls, Marsh cited the knock against Warne’s team as one of the best moments of his cricketing career.
“It’s nice feeling. All the boys played well, and good feeling at the moment. First time I have got a few off him (Warne), usually he gets me out pretty early,” Marsh said.
Marsh, who hit 6 fours and 3 sixes in his destructive innings, further described that the Kings XI http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Punjab-c833 are fully capable of going all the way in the tournament despite having no big names in the line-up.
The classy left-hander explained that he has been enjoying his cricket a lot in the ongoing Twenty20 tournament.
“I do enjoy playing here, great place to play cricket. Having a lot of fun at the moment,” added the 27-year-old Australian batsman.
After being thrashed by the Yuvraj Singh-led Pune Warriors in their opening game, Kings XI Punjab roared back in style and notched three consecutive victories in the tournament.
