Chasing a huge target of 171 runs in the second innings, Delhi was off to a steady start through its openers http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Naman-Ojha-c2057 and David Warner.
Both of them accumulated 52 runs for the first wicket partnership but failed to give enough momentum to their team which was badly needed.
Delhi’s middle order batsmen failed miserably and could not contribute much to the game.
However, the late order batsmen showed some resistance and took their team to a respectable score of 141 for the loss of eight wickets in their 20 overs, but fell short by 29 runs.
Australian left hander, David Warner, remained the top scorer with 29 runs with the help of four boundaries and a massive six. Naman Ojha also scored 28 runs, striking two fours and as many sixes.
Chawla picked up three crucial wickets and gave away only 16 runs in his four overs. His spell truly changed the complexion of the game. Chawla’s control over his line and length was really commendable.

Chawla was named as the Player of the Match for his superb display of leg spin.
This win has put Punjab at the fifth position on the points table with 12 points.
