Kings XI Punjab vs Deccan Chargers
Kings XI http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Punjab-c833 seem to be on a roll in IPL 4 (Indian Premier League) as the franchise have won their latest match against the Deccan Chargers in a convincing manner.
After restricting DC to 165 runs, Punjab made a mockery of the total by wreaking havoc on the opposition bowlers right from the first over. Opener wicketkeeper/skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adam-Gilchrist-c918 showed that even after three years of retirement from international cricket,
he is still as good as any other batsman.

Gilchrist was especially aggressive with Steyn, as he shattered the bowler’s confidence by smacking him everywhere. Steyn was running out of ideas against the rampaging Australian (Gilchrist).
DC skipper and former player of Punjab, Kumar Sangakkara was left awestruck watching some good bowling being smacked at will by the opening pair. This was obviously a delightful site for the Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, who owns the Kings XI Punjab.
If anyone thought that the departure of Yuvraj Singh from Punjab would be missed has certainly thought wrong, as things seem to be working swell for the team after losing Yuvraj, Brett Lee, and Sangakkara.

However, when the game was almost a run a ball, the flamboyant opener lost his wicket while trying to hit another six but the shot fell short and was caught by Ravi Teja in the deep off a delivery bowled by Amit Mishra.
Gilchrist was seen appreciating the bowler for tricking him into playing the delivery, which was bound to be caught near the boundary line. Gilchrist scored 61 runs off 46 deliveries, his innings included five boundaries and three sixes.
Later it was Mishra again, who removed Valthaty, as he hooked a delivery, which went straight into the hands of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ishant-Sharma-c64566 at long on. He went after playing a magnificent knock 75 runs off 47 deliveries.
His innings included eight boundaries and five sixes. At this point in time Punjab were 151/2 with the job almost done.

Earlier, after winning the toss, Punjab decided to field first. The Deccan Chargers suffered an early blow, as they lost their opener Sunny Sohal for just seven runs.

The way Gilchrist’s XI played was commendable. They were seen lacking in unity and understanding in their last match, but have completely transformed their outlook and now not only does the team seem to be a well gelled group of individuals but a serious
threat to the rest of the teams in the tournament.
