I've seen several 'is it a hoax?' questions, and everyone points out the 20/20 report. I watched it... and am still not convinced whether or not these detox pads are a hoax.
Sure, the brown discoloration was proven to be caused by moisture and not by toxicity. But that doesn't mean that they still don't draw out toxins invisibly in the mean time. Maybe they just added the function to give a visual simulation of what reactions are happening since you can't really see it.
They tested a used pad for material and said they found nothing... But what if the individual who used it didn't HAVE that chemical in their system? They need to test the person for the chems first.
And the big downfall is they didn't test a pad BEFORE vs AFTER use to see if there were differences in any part of the chemical composition.
So, has anyone gotten actual before-and-after chemical testing done on these things by legitimate methods? After extended use and with people with proven exposure to chemicals? Thnx
