Kirby Legend II

Hello,
Help please, Using my vacuum, turned it off briefly, then went to turn it back on and it would not .I checked plugs which were both fine. Motor is strong, impeller is fine. The light comes on near the button to turn it on however it's not doing anything. Switch maybe?Just a guess.
