Kirby Ultimate G Upright won't stay up right

Question

When using the attachment to use the hose or just vaccuming normal, the upright with the bag attached doesn't stay upright any more. It wants to lie down and bang on the floor. I tried messing with the handle and the sliding bar near the motor but it seems like something is not catching to hold up the long arm.
