Kirby sentria belt install

Question

I have a hard time engaging the belt when i try to put it on the roller pin in the carpet attachment. it doesnt want to go in the drive shaft and work. when i turn it to theon position it is such tension on the belt that I give up,Whats the no hastle way of putting on a sentria belt?
