Kirbys Glen expected to prevail in Ladbrokes Mobile Handicap Chase
Kirbys Glen is rated favourite to win the Ladbrokes Mobile Handicap Chase at Worcester in England on Sunday, June 10, 2012. A cash prize of £2,122 will be awarded to the winner of the class-5 event.
The going will be good in the 2 mile 4 furlong event, which is scheduled to start at 14:00 GMT. A total of 12 runners have lined up for action and their names are as follows: Clever d**k, Captain Tidds, Jacko´s Boy, Kiama, Jolibob, Factotum, Everdon
Brook, Kirbys Glen, Ohms Law, Sams Lad, Ortega and Shindig.
Looking at the overall statistics of all participants, it seems that Kirbys Glen will walk away with a comfortable victory in the race. His recent form has been good, thus it will be a good choice for the punters to place bets on him.
The 10-year-old gelding has taken part in a 24 chase events until now and his performances have been good in them. He has earned a couple of victories whereas secured the third spot on the same number of times. In addition to that, he also finished
runner up on four occasions.
Out of his previous four outings, the Keiran Burke’s trainee has won once whereas finished runner up on a couple of times, which is a very positive sign. However, he was unable to deliver a solid run in his most recent run, as he finished fourth in
it.
Despite not being the favourite to win, Kirbys Glen was expected to challenge his opponents for victory last time around. However, he did not seem to have the stamina to finish in the top three. He will need to make a lot of improvement in order to
prevail at Worcester today.
The race favourite runner will be partnered by seasoned jockey, Nick Scholfield, who has got an impressive record in chase races. He has won 66 of them at a decent strike rate.
Other than Kirbys Glen, Clever d**k might also manage to make a solid impression in the race. He has got a lot of talent and his stamina will definitely be useful today. However, his strike rate is not on the positive side, as he has just managed to
win on race out of nine attempts.
In his most recent run, the six-year-old gelding finished fourth, which shows that he can challenge his opponents for victory at Worcester.
