Kirilova Pironkova: The Bulgarian Tennis sensation
The Bulgarian tennis sensation Kirilova Pironkova was born on 13th September, 1987 in the city of Plovdiv. The female tennis star still lives in Plovdiv, her birth place. The right handed sensation makes intelligent use of her two handed back hand. The girl reached her top most worlds ranking of number forty back in 2008. Pironkova is presently the top ranked Bulgarian tennis player and has grabbed a total of six titles in the International Tennis Federation.
Tsvetana Kirilova Pironkova was born to Radosveta Nikolova who is a former champion of swimming and Kiril Pironkov who is also a former champion of canoeing back in 1987. The Bulgarian girl started playing the game of tennis when she was just a four year’s old little kid. Pironkova’s dad motivated her daughter to play tennis at a small age. When the girl turned six, she began contesting in the junior championships held in Bulgaria. Kiril subsequently started coaching her.
The right handed player triumphed in the Atlantic Cup International Junior championship back in 2001. The tournament was held in the city of Bulgaria. The girl achieved her career top junior’s world ranking of number two hundred twenty seven in the year 2002.
Pironkova turned pro back in 2002 when she was still a fourteen years old girl. The number one Bulgarian tennis sensation contested in the International Tennis Federation championship as her first ever professional tournament which was held in the city of Romania, Bucharest. She succeeded in a total of three qualifying clashes prior making her way into the final of the main draw where she was fallen down by Monica Niculescu, a Romanian player in a 6–1, 7–6(1) match set.
The following year, Pironkova in fact improved her game further and participated in the International Tennis Federation tournament once again in September 2002, in Volos where she performed tremendously well and just lost a single set. The girl in the end grabbed her first ever International Tennis Federation title by knocking down the Swiss player, Tina Schmassmann in a 7–6(3), 7–5 match set.
The next year, Tsvetana grasped a total of three single ITF titles, two of them in Istanbul and the remaining one in Orestiada.
As far as her Women Tennis Association Tournaments are concerned, Pironkova contested in her very first professional WTA level championship in the year 2005 at a very young age of seventeen years. She succeeded in the first two qualifying levels of the Tier III championship held in Turkey however eventually fell down in the semi final encounter with Venus Williams.
Pironkova almost four years ago came to limelight by defeating the seeded number ten tennis sensation Venus Williams in the very first round clash of the Australian Open championship with a 2–6, 6–0, 9–7 match set. The Bulgarian tennis ace was listed ninety four in the world’s ranking at that time.
